Being a Big Sister
Being 17 and having a nine-year-old sibling feels like standing on a bridge. I’m looking ahead at high school and growing up, while they are still firmly planted in the world of cartoons, recess, and pure imagination. Even though we are only four years apart, sometimes it feels like we live in different worlds—but I’ve realized that my favorite part of the day is often the moment those two worlds meet.
My Allergys
I have over 10 allergy. Thats a lot.For a high school senior, managing a heavy burden of allergies adds an exhausting layer of complexity to an already high-pressure year. Navigating milestones like college tours, sports seasons, and senior prom requires constant vigilance, as a sudden spike in the pollen count or an accidental exposure at a graduation party can derail weeks of hard work. The physical fatigue from chronic congestion and antihistamine use often clashes with the late nights required for college applications and final exams. Ultimately, being a senior with significant allergies means missing out on the simple spontaneity of the year, as every outdoor event or group dinner must be meticulously scouted for safety and comfort.
